Maggie's Fund

Welcome to Maggie's Fund!

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the inspiration for Maggie's Fund. On July 10, 2021 at 12:20pm, at the age of approximately 14 years 3 months, after a short but brave battle with lymphoma, Margaret Ann "Maggie" left our world. Devastated does not begin to describe how we feel, but Maggie's Fund will continue on in her honor. In fact, her passing has reinvigorated us to do more. In the past, Maggie's Fund has been very passive and has helped other organizations from time to time as time and funds permitted. We are currently in the process of reimagining Maggie's Fund by examining how we can better raise funds, better serve our fellow rescue organizations, and better help animals in need. Watch for these changes coming over the next few months!

Our Mission

Maggie's Fund is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization. We provide support to organizations dedicated to preventing the cruel and inhumane treatment of animals, animal suffering, animal rescue, and reducing overpopulation through education and sterilization programs with a focus on high risk animals and those in need of urgent medical care.

Maggie's Fund does not maintain a physical shelter. We provide financial and "in kind" support to rescue organizations and shelters that have similar goals and objectives to ours. While we mainly focus on rescue groups in the mid-Ohio area, we have also provided support to groups throughout the United States.

Even though we do not maintain a shelter, we are from time to time able to foster. We have successfully rescued, fostered, and rehomed several animals and do so as space permits. With no shelter, all animals we take in are fostered. Maggie's Fund has no paid staff. Almost all of our overhead necessities are donated. Nearly 100% of donations go directly to support our projects.
